Remote Assessment

After signing up for our Remote Training service you should have already filled out an information form and purchased an assessment package.

If both of those steps are completed, you are ready to begin the assessment process. Listed below is a step-by-step process of what is required of you for our remote assessment. After you film all videos please upload them to either DropBox or Google Drive and share them with us at info@baseballdevelopmentgroup.com.

Movement Assessment

For the following videos please leave your shirt and shoes off. Perform all exercises on each side of the body. 

Cervical Spine CAR

Perform 3 rotations in each direction. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

In your video, please verbalize any pain or discomfort you have and note at what point in the movement it occurs as well as point towards the location of discomfort/pain.

Thoracic Spine CAR

Perform 3 rotations in each direction. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

In your video, please verbalize any pain or discomfort you have and note at what point in the movement it occurs as well as point towards the location of discomfort/pain.

Cat/Camel

Perform 3 reps in each direction (flexion & extension). Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

Include a rep of yourself trying to segment each joint by “walking” each vertebrae into flexion/extension at a time.

In your video, please verbalize any pain or discomfort you have and note at what point in the movement it occurs as well as point towards the location of discomfort/pain.

Glenohumeral CAR

Perform 3 rotations in each direction. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

Scapular Movement Test

Perform 3 rotations in each direction. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

Elbow CAR

Perform 3 rotations in each direction. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

Hip CAR

Perform 3 rotations in each direction. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

Active Straight Leg Raise (ASLR)

Perform 3 reps with both legs. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

Prone Swimmer

Perform 3 complete rotations forward and back. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

Prone GH ER Liftoffs

Perform 3-4 reps trying to lift your hand off the ground as high as possible. For this test, only the throwing arm is required.

Sleeper PAIL/RAIL

Perform a singular rep of a PAIL/RAIL by taking yourself into a passive stretch of the shoulder capsule. For this test, only the throwing arm is required.

Seated Rotation

Perform 3 rotations in each direction. Take your time, one rep should take roughly 10 seconds.

Knee to Wall Test

For this test, you will need access. to tape measure/ruler to measure your ankle dorsiflexion range of motion.

Throwing Assessment

For the throwing portion of the assessment, we will require several videos of your throwing mechanics. The more recent the better. If you have the corresponding velocity please include a note of that when you send in your videos. 

PitchAI

In order for us to run your throwing video through the PitchAI software to get objective biomechanical data, you will need to ensure you send several side-view slow-motion videos.

Attached here are videos detailing how to get the best captures possible.

Additional Angles

After sending/filming side-view slow-motion videos for us please film videos from the rear and/or front as well.

Slow-motion is preferred for these angles as well.

Performance Data

If available, please include PDF reports or screenshots of Rapsodo/Trackman data to help us better familiarize ourselves with you as a pitcher.
